Midsumma Carnival

06/01/2012

Midsumma, Melbourne's annual Queer Celebration, is a federation of arts and cultural events spread over 70 different venues throughout Melbourne. The festival is presented over three weeks from mid January to February and, having been held annually since 1988, is a significant attraction on the Melbourne festival calendar.

Midsumma Carnival attracts tens of thousands of people from all over Victoria each year to Birrarung Marr, in Melbourne City.

headspace and Y.E.A.H (Youth Empowerment Against HIV and AIDS) are teaming up with Minus18 to deliver a bigger and better youth presence at the Carnival, with the introduction of the Youth Stage.

The Youth Stage will provide an area that caters primarily to young people (14-25 years old) in an environment without alcohol.

Where: Birrarung Marr

When: Sunday 15 January 12pm - 5pm.
