Welcome to Adelaide Northern headspace!
A mental health and drug and alcohol service for young people
12-25.
Adelaide Northern headspace services are free,
confidential and professional and include a range of specialist and
support services.
How can we help?
Adelaide Northern headspace can help young
people and their families with issues or questions relating to:
- Mental health
- Alcohol and other drug use
- Work or education
- General physical health
- Sexual health
- Relationships
Our Adelaide Northern headspace staff are
experienced and passionate about working with young people. They
include GPs, social workers, psychologists, psychiatrists and youth
workers.
Adelaide Northern headspace covers four local
Government Areas in the northern region of Adelaide including:
- City of Playford;
- City of Salisbury;
- Town of Gawler;
- City of Tea Tree Gully
Where should I start?
You can call headspace at Adelaide Northern
Division of General Practice between 9am and 5pm, Monday to
Friday on 8209 0700:
If the call is regarding services for yourself or any referrals,
an initial phone consultation will be conducted where a trained
headspace worker will:
- conduct a brief assessment of what you are wanting help
with;
- explain the services we are able to provide; and
- develop a plan for how your needs can be best met.

contact you.
If you are in crisis please contact emergency services:
- Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) Ph: 8252
0133 (for young people under 18 years)
- ACIS Mental Health Triage Ph: 131 465 (for people over 18
years)
If you do not feel quite ready to access
headspace specialist services, we can arrange for
you to see one of our youth workers. headspace
youth workers can meet with you at a location you feel comfortable
(e.g. park, shopping centre) to provide you will some extra
support, help link you into others services or just be available
for a chat!
