Training 2011/12

Headspace has developed a range of training packages aimed at enhancing practitioners' skills in the use of evidence based interventions appropriate to Young people with mental health and substance use issues.

There will be six training packages available to individuals. There are two generalist training packages:

• SEE (Screening and Engaging early) Young People
• Working with Families and Significant Others

Specialist training packages include:

• Motivational Interviewing and Behavior Change Techniques
• Problem Solving Skills
• Early Identification of Psychosis in Young People  and
• Managing Challenging Behaviours in Young People: Aggression, Self harm and Suicidality

All the above packages are very interactive and will be delivered by trained clinicians and or educators.

Our training calendar is currenlty being developed and will be available before the end of the year to enable you to plan ahead.
