headspace has been set up to help young people
aged 12-25.
Here at headspace Southern Melbourne we offer
young people access to a range of youth-friendly health
professionals who can help you with:
- mental health & counselling
- alcohol & other drug services
- general health, and
- education and employment opportunities & other
services.
Our Services
If you or someone you know:
- is feeling depressed or anxious
- isn't coping at school
- isn't sleeping well or sleeping too much
- finds it hard to concentrate
- wants to cut down drinking or drug use
- is being bullied, hurt or sexually harassed
- is having trouble getting or keeping a job.
Or you have questions or issues relating to:
- general physical health
- sexual health
- contraception
- nutrition and diet
- alcohol and/or drugs
- emotions and feelings
- relationships
- family life
Then why not try talking to someone about how you have been
feeling? headspace is a great place to start!
How do I make an appointment?
You can talk to an intake worker about making an appointment by
calling 9526 1600.
You can ask your GP, teacher or community agency worker about
making a referral to headspace Southern
Melbourne.
What will I find at headspace?
Friendly workers who can help you with:
- talking about what is in your headspace
- counselling to work out and overcome difficulties
- wellness checks and medical advice
- sorting out problems at school
- dealing with issues with family and friends
- drug and alcohol issues
- finding other services that may be of help
Who can come to headspace?
Anyone who is 12-25 years old and needs some assistance with
these issues. If you think one of your friends, brothers,
sisters, cousins, your children or students could use this kind of
support, please pass on this information to them. Or, ask to speak
to our intake about how they could access the right service.
