Training 2011/12

Headspace has developed a range of training packages aimed at enhancing practitioners' skills in the use of evidence based interventions appropriate for Young people with mental health and substance use issues.

There will be six packages on offer for individuals. They include two generalist training;

• SEE (Screening and Engaging Early) Young People
• Working with Families and Significant others

Specialist training

• Motivational Interviewing and Behaviour Change Techniques
• Problem Solving Skills Training
• Early Identification of Psychosis in Young People and
• Managing Challenging Behaviours in Young People: Aggression, Self harm and Suicidality

All the above packages are very interactive and will be delivered by trained clinicians/educators.

Our training calendar is currently under development and will be out before the end of the year to enable you to plan ahead.
