headspace help
Your local headspace centre is a place where you can get help for a range of health issues including mental health and drug and alcohol problems.
headspace centres have been created because we believe young people need services designed especially for them. If you are 12 - 25 and having a tough time or you know someone who is - visit a headspace near you.
Still not sure? Take a virtual tour of some of the headspace services across the country by checking out the videos below.
What is a headspace centre?
- Youth-friendly, community-based health service for young people 12 – 25 and their families
- A place where young people can receive help for health, education, work, mental health and alcohol and other drug issues
- Staffed by a range of wrokers including doctors/GP's, psychiatrists, mental health workers (psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, nurses), and other workrs (youth workers and alcohol and other drug workers, vocational) who have specific expertise in working with young people
- A confidential low cost or free service dependent on situation
- A locally run initiative established by organisations that understand your community
- A place where young people and families are encouraged to become involved
