About the Evidence Maps
The headspace Evidence Maps are a unique 'short
cut' to finding published controlled trials and systematic reviews
of treatment and prevention strategies for mental health and
substance use problems in 12-25 year olds (and 6-25 year olds for
prevention studies). The Maps present the results of the
headspace Centre of Excellence's careful searching of
research databases, screening and categorising of studies (see this
publication for details).
You can search or browse the Maps by selecting: 1) the
issue or disorder you are interested in 2) the
stage of illness or intervention (eg. prevention for
those at risk; interventions for first signs of a disorder;
treating a diagnosed disorder; relapse prevention) 3) the
type of intervention (eg. psychological therapies like
cognitive behaviour therapy; biological therapies like medication;
complementary and alternative therapies; service delivery changes)
or 4) a keyword- or a combination of these
categories.
