headspace Chatswood and headspace Brookvale are seeking expressions of interest from Clinical Psychologists, Psychologists, Social Workers and Occupational Therapists who are experienced and interested in providing high quality services to young people aged 12 – 25 years old. headspace Chatswood and headspace Brookvale Allied Health Professionals will provide services under the early intervention / prevention framework for young people with emerging or recent onset mental health problems.  headspace Chatswood and headspace Brookvale provides a comprehensive suite of services that include mental health care, primary health care, drug and alcohol and vocational services.  All services are at no cost to the young person.

 

Working as a sessional professional at headspace Chatswood and headspace Brookvale provides you with the opportunity to work in a youth-friendly environment.  A modest room rental/administrative fee will be charged and in return you will receive extensive clinical and administrative support, as well as on-going referrals of young people who have been assessed and are ready to receive services.  There are opportunities to add to a learning environment along with the headspace staff and other professionals that are co-located at headspace Chatswood and headspace Brookvale.  headspace Chatswood and headspace Brookvale is a dynamic, innovative and multi-disciplinary environment.

 

Essential Criteria:

  • A degree in a recognised Allied Health profession with current full AHPRA registration 
  • Demonstrated experience providing therapy to young people aged 12 to 25 years old
  • Eligibility to provide services under Medicare and be willing to Bulk Bill
  • An ABN
  • Professional Indemnity ($10 million or above) and Public Liability Insurance ($10 million or above)
  • Commitment to be an integrated part of a multidisciplinary team 
  • Able to use headspace Chatswood and headspace Brookvale record keeping and HAPI data collection systems
  • headspace Chatswood and headspace Brookvale is committed to a high standard of service delivery and the nature of the position will require:
      • A Working with Children’s Check
      • A Criminal Records Check
      • Evidence of completion of a Child Protection Training within the last three years or willingness to complete a free training

 

Desirable Criteria: 

  • Ability to provide afternoon after school appointments
  • Ability to speak a second language

headspace Hervey Bay is seeking expressions of interest from Clinical Psychologists, Psychologists, Social Workers, and Occupational Therapists who are experienced and interested in providing high quality services to young people aged 12 – 25 years old.

You must have experience in engaging with young people in this age group and offering focused psychological interventions.  You will need to hold all registrations and memberships, and Professional Indemnity Insurance for legal practice in Australia.  

As we utilise the Medicare Better Access Initiative and ATAPS, you will need to hold a Medicare Provider Number issued by Medicare Australia and be registered with Medicare.  You will need an ABN.

The nature of the position will require a criminal record check and a Blue Card, and as needed during practice, child protection reporting.

Our open-hours are 8.30am – 5.00pm, Monday to Friday.

Marathon Health is seeking suitably qualified and experienced persons to provide MBS funded services to young people 12-25 years at headspace Dubbo.

To be eligible you must possess the following:

1. Experience working with young people aged 12-25 years with mental health difficulties.

2. Experience and willingness to work in a multidisciplinary team.

3. Be a currently registered and practicing Allied Health Professional with AHPRA.

4. Be eligible to provide services under the Medicare Benefits Scheme (MBS), including eligible to obtain a Medicare Provider number.

5. Must have professional indemnity insurance.

6. Must undergo relevant criminal record check and working with children checks.
