Mental wellbeing in the classroom workshops

Headspace community project 76

Are you looking to promote positive mental health and wellbeing amongst your students? Research shows mental wellbeing and learning outcomes are closely linked.

Did you know that headspace Hurstville offer dynamic school workshops at no cost? Developing a positive school culture where individuals feel safe is a great starting point in promoting mental health and wellbeing in the school environment.

 These workshops are run by our Community Engagement team with an educational and health promotion focus. Workshops are designed for small groups of 15-30 people and run for around 45 minutes. Each workshop can be tailored to meet the needs of your school, year group or class group. Workshops may also be given in a lecture style for larger groups, on request.

 Topics include;

  • general mental health and wellbeing
  • a healthy self
  • what is headspace
  • healthy relationships
  • bullying
  • dealing with exam stress
  • headspace school support for staff
