New headspace announced for Mandurah, Western Australia

The Federal Government has today announced the location of the latest headspace centre in Mandurah, Western Australia.

It is the third centre to be announced of ten new sites by 2019.

headspace CEO Jason Trethowan said, members of the Mandurah community have faced some challenging issues over the past 12 months, affecting many young people, their families and friends, as well as the wider community.

“We are so pleased that we can extend this help and make headspace services directly available to the young people of Mandurah and the surrounding areas,” he said.
Federal Member for Canning, Andrew Hastie said he was really pleased with the announcement and what it will mean for many local, young people.

“Early intervention is absolutely critical to helping young people with mental health issues and the Mandurah headspace will deliver integral services and coordinate the right interventions for at risk young people.”
