New headspace services for New England region

This week headspace Armidale officially launchedenabling young people, their families and friends in the New England region access to youth friendly mental health services.

headspace National CEO Jason Trethowan, who cut the ribbon at the opening, said: “Many of you would be aware that mental health is the number one health issue faced by young people in Australia today,” he said.

headspace Armidale will give young people in the local community a place where they can get the support they need to get back on their feet and fulfil their potential."

Mr Trethowan thanked BeyondBlue, Hunter, New England & Central Coast Primary Health Network, Centacare New England North-West and members of headspace Armidale Youth Reference Group who had a huge input in the design and launch of the service.
