Welcome to Adelaide Northern headspace!

We offer a range of free, confidential and professional support services to young people aged 12 to 25. 

 

Services

Adelaide Northern headspace can help young people and their families with issues or questions relating to:

• Mental health
• Alcohol and other drug use
• Work or education
• General physical health
• Sexual health
• Relationships

Our Adelaide Northern headspace staff  are experienced and passionate about working with young people.  They include GPs, social workers, psychologists, psychiatrists, youth workers, family support workers and  education and employment specialists.

 

Where

 

Adelaide Northern headspace covers three local Government Areas in the northern region of Adelaide including:  the City of Playford, the City of Salisbury and the Town of Gawler.

Services are available at a range of local sites including:

• The Second Story Youth Health Service (6 Gillingham Road, Elizabeth)
• Paralowie Youth Service (94 Waterloo Corner Road, Paralowie)
• Shopfront Youth Health and Information Service (Shop3-4, 72 John Street, Salisbury)
• Gawler Health Service (21 Hutchinson Road, Gawler)

What to Expect

 

Initially you will be offered an intake appointment with the Access Team. An intake appointment will involve:

• a brief assessment of what the current issues are for you;
• an explanation of the headspace services available; and
• a plan (developed together) on how best we can help you.
