Great Southern

headspace is the place you go when you need someone else to go to or to get some advice. headspace is there when you may not want your friends knowing about stuff or when you feel that no one else seems to get how you are feeling. And the best thing is - It's FREE

headspace assists young people (12-25 yrs old):

  • Find out information about heaps of different stuff that young people go through
  • Help get their head around stuff that's going on in their life
  • Have someone to talk to and someone to hear what they have to say

 

Client services at headspace Central (Albany)

Youth Workers

Engage with young people to link them into support pathways and to coach them through assessment and support periods. Practical assistance, advocacy, vocational services (e.g. training, career guidance, job search assistance, and job placement support) and referral coordination to other local services. There are opportunities to participate in personal growth group programs, and access to e-health and other relevant information resources - are all available at headspace Central. 

Sessional Counsellors

(Psychologists) provide mental health support for young people. Transport may be provided to attend counseling sessions. For client services contact the Shopfront/Referral Coordinator via email: info@headspacegs.com.au

Training and Education Programs

headspace Great Southern also offers services providers and community members access to training and education programs. For further information about programs available contact the Training and Education Facilitator via email: training@headspacegs.com.au

We have a group of young people that help make decisions about headspace to improve and make headspace Great Southern as friendly to young people as it can be.
