The YFC is made up of young people from the Geelong region who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of their peers. The group consists of a diverse range of young people, from a variety of different ages and backgrounds, who are advocates for youth mental health.
headspace Geelong look to the YFC for advice and opinions to ensure young people's voices are present in decisions that shape our service. The YFC organise events and campaigns that seek to spread the word about mental health and reduce stigma around mental illness. They also attend events around the region to get the headspace message out there and inform people on how to access our services.
Members of our Youth Futures Crew are offered training to equip them with the skills they think are necessary to do the wonderful work they do.
If you would like to invite the YFC to come along to your event or classroom to run an activity or share information about headspace, please contact our Community Engagement Coordinator.
