How do I make an Intake appointment?

You can make an appointment by calling 4661 1999 or by emailing headspace@rhealth.com.au. Or you can just drop in during our opening hours Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, or just ask your current health worker, your teacher or your community agency about making a referral to headspace Southern Downs.

What is an Intake appointment?

This is often the first step in talking to someone at headspace. At an intake appointment, you can talk to a Care Co-ordinator about why you want to come to headspace, what you want to get out of it and where to next...
The Care Co-ordinator will set you up with the best person for you to talk to on a regular basis, based on what you said at the appointment and what your biggest concerns are.

What services does headspace Southen Downs have available?

  • Career counselling:            Mondays 2pm - 4pm, on a fortnightly basis.
Find out what you might be good at, explore your career options and more...
  • Drug and Alcohol Counselling:            On a weekly basis.
Talk to an experienced drug and alcohol counsellor about any issues concerning you or questions you may have of someone who's in the know...
  • Counsellors, Social Workers, a Psychotherapist, a Family Therapist, and a GP for Mental Health support are available by appointment.
The Care Co-ordinators can discuss these options with you.
