Southern Downs
headspace Southern Downs is a youth health service for anyone aged between 12 and 25 years. It's about support for general health, mental health, drug and alcohol issues, and employment and education support. Our focus is on early intervention and having a one-stop-shop approach to health issues.

How do I make an Intake appointment?
You can make an appointment by calling 4661 1999 or by emailing headspace@rhealth.com.au. Or you can just drop in during our opening hours Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, or just ask your current health worker, your teacher or your community agency about making a referral to headspace Southern Downs.
What is an Intake appointment?
This is often the first step in talking to someone at headspace. At an intake appointment, you can talk to a Care Co-ordinator about why you want to come to headspace, what you want to get out of it and where to next...
The Care Co-ordinator will set you up with the best person for you to talk to on a regular basis, based on what you said at the appointment and what your biggest concerns are.
What services does headspace Southen Downs have available?
- Career counselling: Mondays 2pm - 4pm, on a fortnightly basis.

- Drug and Alcohol Counselling: On a weekly basis.
Talk to an experienced drug and alcohol counsellor about any issues concerning you or questions you may have of someone who's in the know...
- Counsellors, Social Workers, a Psychotherapist, a Family Therapist, and a GP for Mental Health support are available by appointment.
The Care Co-ordinators can discuss these options with you.
